The FROSIO Award is a collaboration between FROSIO and the Norwegian Corrosion Technical Association (NKF), Bergen branch, and aims to honor outstanding contributions within the surface treatment and insulation professions.
Statutes for the FROSIO Award
The award is a professional distinction established by FROSIO and NKF Bergen, and it is granted within the disciplines of surface treatment or insulation. The award is presented annually during the event “Overflatedagene” (The Surface Days) in Bergen.
A dedicated committee is responsible for the selection of recipients. The committee consists of representatives from:
- The Board of FROSIO
- Member companies of FROSIO
- KEF
- Maling & Lakk (Paint & Coatings Industry Association)
- NKF Bergen
Nomination
All members of FROSIO and NKF Bergen may nominate candidates within a specified deadline.
The award may be given to:
- Individuals
- Companies
- Certification bodies
- Public departments
- Schools or similar institutions
Candidates must have distinguished themselves significantly within the field of surface treatment or insulation and, through their work, contributed to strengthening the reputation and development of the profession. The proposer must provide a justification for the nomination upon submission.
