In 2012 FROSIO established a similar system for training and certification of insulation inspectors.<\/p>\n<p>FROSIO acts through formulation of quality requirements for surface treatment and insulation inspectors. FROSIO approval and certification scheme have achieved high international recognition and a\u00a0 FROSIO certified inspector is a specific requirement within different standards and specifications.<\/p>\n<p>Certification is a natural career progression for anyone with a successfully completed apprenticeship or for anyone with long experience in anti-corrosion work or insulation work.<\/p>\n<p>FROSIO has been accredited by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akkreditert.no\/en\/akkrediterte-organisasjoner\/personell\/?AkkId=471\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Norsk Akkreditering according to ISO 17024<\/a> since 2003.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1659 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/frosio.no\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/accreditoring.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"149\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Objectives:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To elevate the quality level with all aspects of the surface treatment and insulation trades.<\/li>\n<li>To act through formulation of quality requirements and development of education programs for surface tratment and insulation inspectors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Reliability:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>FROSIO has focus on the importance of impartiality in carrying out its certification activities, managing conflict of interest and ensuring the objectives of its certification activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Establishment:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To have independent inspectors<\/li>\n<li>To have qualified\/certified inspectors<\/li>\n<li>To prevent the undermining of inspectors authority<\/li>\n<li>To improve surface treatment work in general<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Main tasks:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To prepare and maintain training curriculums for both surface treatment and insulation courses and examinations<\/li>\n<li>To approve the training bodies<\/li>\n<li>To conduct examinations<\/li>\n<li>To assess and approve\/reject candidates for certification<\/li>\n<li>To renewal of certificates<\/li>\n<li>To keep records of all certified personnel<\/li>\n<li>Participate in standardization work, nationally and internationally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements for certification:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend an 80 hours training course provided by a FROSIO approved training body<\/li>\n<li>Pass both theoretical and practical exams<\/li>\n<li>Document relevant experience and inspection experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Type of certificate based on experience<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The certificates have 3 levels depending
